quilled card / quilling üdvözlet

Here's a custom order for a friend: a small card in green and white , with polyanthus and helleborus flowers. The text is in Hungarian and refers to a biblical verse: "Love, fidelity may never leave you..."

Rendelésre készült ez a kis zöld-fehér üdvözlet: tubarózsával és hunyorral díszítve, a lényeg az idézetben rejtőzik... :)

gólyás üdvözlet / card with quilled stork

This card is welcoming to the world two twin boys with the traditional stork-carrying-babies motif. However, I combined quilling with paperfolding for a change, something I've never done before on cards. The blue and white frame is the folded one, I learned the technique from Kativilaga. Kati's wonderful tutorial of a paper basket gave me the idea and showed how it's done. Thank you!

orhideás szülinapi üdvözlet / birthday card with quilled orchid

Az ünnepelt kedvenc színei a lila és a rózsaszín, ezeket részesítettem előnyben a szülinapi üdvözletében.
Az orhidea design-ja innen származik, köszönet érte, bár így, ebben a formában, quilling technikával kidolgozva nem tudom a virág mennyire felismerhető... :)

The birthday girl's favourite colours are pink and purple so I tried to use these in her card. I saw the design of the orchid here, but I'm not sure that my quilled version of the flower is recognizable... :) Is it? :)

Némó nyomában / Finding Nemo

Szülinapi üdvözlet egy 8 éves kisfiúnak. Gondoltam Némót mindenki szereti, hiszen olyan aranyos, vidám, pajkos kis bohóchal :)

This is one of my favourites: a birthday card for an 8 year old boy depicting Nemo. I thought he's loved by everyone since he is such a cute, lively, playful little clownfish :)

Villám Mcqueen üdvözleten / quilled Lightning Mcqueen

Villám Mcqueen a gyerekek kedvence (többek közt az enyém is :) ), ezért helyet kapott egy keresztelőre szánt üdvözleten. ("nőj nagyra Ianis")

For my second quilled car I dared to try something more complicated :) The procedure though was the same as for the red Ferrari: printed out a picture, quilled it, cut it out and glued it to the greeting card.I'm a big fan of Lightning McQueen, that's why I put more effort to do it right. And maybe because a red race car was my first toy in kindergarten I can remember of :) The Piston Cup is just there to complete the picture.

piros Ferrari quilling tablón / quilled red Ferrari

"Egy nap értem jön egy tűzpiros autó..." :) énekelte Szinetár Dóra :)
Vagyis egy piros Ferrari, ez volt a kérés egy 20 éves fiú számára, aki imádja a kocsikat.
A megrendelő nem tudta eldönteni, hogy üdvözletet rendeljen, vagy inkább tablót, ezért  kombináltam a kettőt: a díszítés vékony kartonra került fel, a hátára ragasztottam egy kisebb darab karton támasznak.

This picture makes me think of a summer day in California :) or Hawaii or wherever... (although I've never been to either of these places :))) only in the movies I've seen)
This is my first quilled car ever. The red Ferrari was a request and gave me some headaches till I figured out how to do it. I have to admit, I cheated a little :D
I printed out a picture of a car that I found on the internet and thought it would be easy to quill on. I quilled the car, cut it out and glued it on the carton. I also made it some kind of a support on the back side, to hold the picture in standing position, like a photoframe.
And... "happy birthday" to the celebrated  guy! :)
